Recurve's Start

We are a small family breeder located in the Hills of The Headwaters in Ontario, Canada. Our love of the gentle giants and passion for competition resulted in what will always be my heart Dog Danni.  She was imported from the Ukraine as a puppy and quickly gained her CH and GCH titles and then went on to win BOS at the Regional Specialty all before she turned 2.  She continuously spoils us in spirit, passion, and all the wonderful characteristics Newfoundlands are so well known for.  She is Recurve's foundation girl who's legacy will carry on in our lines.

Since our start, we have had great success with our own breedings and selective imports brought in to compliment our own lines both now and in the future.  We are fully committed to the breed, our puppies, our extended puppy families and all the folks that support keeping our dogs healthy.

We will periodically have puppies available. All puppies will be CKC registered, have health clearances and be cardiologist cleared. If you are interested in a Recurve Puppy please visit our puppy page; send us a note and we will provide further details on our puppy application process.

Conformation Showing

We have been actively involved in the sport of Showing for over 8 years. We entered the scene by acquiring our first female from Ukraine in 2016 (Danni). She swiftly earned a Canadian Championship title followed by her Grand Champion and finished 2017 as the #7 Newfoundland in Canada and #3 Owner Handled Newfoundland. She reached the pinnacle of her career by securing Best Of Opposite at the 2017 Canadian Newfoundland Regional Specialty. She went on to have her first litter in 2018. Since then, we have consistently produced Champion Newfoundlands from our litters and have earned numerous placements in Specialties. The highlights of our achievements include the impressive performance of littermates Isabella and Phineas earning First and Second placements in their respective 6-9 Months Class at the 2023 NCA National Specialty. More recently, the 2024 NCA National Specialty, Miley achieved First place in both the 6-9 Month Sweeps and regular classes, progressing to win Winners Bitch at just 8 months old. Similarly, Jaxon demonstrated impressive performance with Second place finishes in both the 6-9 Month Sweeps and regular class.
