Whelping and Puppy Care

Puppies are whelped and raised for the first few weeks in the whelping box with mom

Heat lamps and heating discs are used to ensure optimal temperatures are maintained

We provide 24 hr round the clock supervision for the first 3-4 weeks of life to ensure both mom and pups are thriving

Mom will remain with the pups until pups are ready to go to their new homes

Important life lessons are taught from the mother even though puppies will have been completely weaned

Once puppies are mobile we expand the box to provide more space to explore

Once puppies have started the weaning process around 4 weeks we open their space to provide new stimulation and surrounding awareness

Spring and summer litters allow us the opportunity to take the pups outdoors for play time and exploration

As puppies grow we provide them with adequate space to explore and play
